Jolt your system

Jolting your body! If you have been at a pattern of eating or using a plan  for a long time and your body is not responding when you are working hard at reducing the weight, JOLTING  can help. It is like shock treatment. I don’t mean going into a eat less and miss meals reaction. Because then the reticular brain, that little itty bitty part of the brain that God give all creatures to react to danger, will go into protection mode and not give an inch. What I am talking about is introducing new foods, new workout moves, or even trying a different “diet”. But I warn you, if you choose a diet for a short term, have a plan for what comes next.

In the past week I did just such a shock treatment for my body. I had been experiencing a lot of frustration with not having responces to my desire to reduce the last 10-15 lbs that had been lingering for a couple of years. I say a couple of years when in fact they have been there from the beginning and therefore are well established. Stubborn and unforgiving when I try to reduce them.

In respond to this dilemma I decided to try something I had never done before. The 7 -Day Cabbage Soup diet. My thought was this; I had been giving my WW plan an honest try and it was not doing what I needed it to do. Give my body the push that it needed to respond to a reduction in weight. It  worked. I succeeded in beginning the move away from a weight that was not near my goal and I was able to reduce 5.2 lbs in 6 days. I did not weight until a day after I started the 7-Day Cabbage Soup Diet.

Let me be clear I went into this with a great deal of thought. This was not a knee jerk reaction. I wanted a shock response from my body. I was drawing a line in the sand. I however had a plan to return to the WW plan and so I did that yesterday and now I am back working at life and not a diet.

Today I start Boot Camp. An intense work out plan that is an hour in duration and goes two days a week for 6 weeks. That is another jolt to my body.

I will post here to give you a weekly update and how I am doing.
